Voicefirst is a term used for devices and software made specifically to the domain of voice. Not to be confused with voice-also (which is voice as an added feature), voicefirst can come in a variety of forms such as an operating system to devices like smart speakers and microwaves. In a voicefirst world, global citizens will need to be cautious of using the wake words "Alexa" and "Hey Google" in fear of the next 8 seconds being recorded. This isn't 1984, George, this is #voicefirst.
Dude 1: "I heard Nike used a company called Jargon to manage personalized content so you can ask Alexa to order your favorite pair of Nike Air Force Ones"
Dude 2: "Dude, you can't say that out loud - this is a voicefirst house - Alexa probably heard you"
one hour later
UPS Dudette: *knocks*
Dude 1 & 2 open the door
UPS Dudette: "Delivery from Amazon, size 15 Air Force Ones"
The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
