This concept applies to girls in the sense that all females who are of hideous and fugly nature MUST have hot friends. This is not the product of the ugly girls intentions, but of the hot ones.
The theorem states that a hottie will make friends with ugly girls for two reasons:
1. Ugly girls are nicer to boys and tend to often befriend them more, thus pulling cute ones to the hotties.
2. Based on the concept of relative analysis, if a semi cute girl is standing next to a hideous freak then the semi cute will turn hotter.
A by-product of guys who understand this philosophy is knowing that by befriending ugly girls, he can therefore meet their hotter friends, and have more luck in pure volume of conversations with hotties, it is up to the guy to make something of it.

(hottie): oh cool i'll meet him **(This guy sounds awesome i should steal him away! since i am the HF in UGHF)**<--in her head
Usage 2.
{Guy 1}: you know i saw the year book picture of sally that was taken yesterday, and she's not hot.
(Guy 2): Ya i saw it too, but she is over there with betsy the cow (girl) and she is looking mighty fine, lets go over and talk to her.
^Classic UGHF, and it explains why sally knows betsy at all^
