apple-to-orange comparison

The comparison between two (or more) things that cannot be compared apple-to-apple, e.g. comparing the demand of being a kindergartener with that of being a college student — even though they both "only" go to school 3 hours per day
Trying to compare the stress levels of a kindergartener to a college student is just an apple-to-orange comparison—sure, they both "only" go to school 3 hours per day, but the responsibilities are worlds apart!

apple-to-orange

Being the antonym for "apple-to-apple", this term refers to the comparison between two things (or more) that simply don't compare! For example, you were born on Sunday, February 22nd 2004. You aren't going to have ever celebrated your birthday during Ramadan until Sunday, February 22nd 2026. But still, you have always compared with the rapper Quavo who have once celebrated his birthday during Ramadan. And the last time this rapper celebrated his birthday was on Tuesday, April 2nd 2024.
Trying to compare my birthday on February 22nd 2004, with Quavo's Ramadan birthday is just an apple-to-orange situation; they’re worlds apart!

Apple inverted / natural scrolling - I want it to GO AWAY

I just upgraded to OSX Lion 10.7, I own a normal fucking mouse (Intellimouse), not some "magic-harry-potter" mouse, and I hate invented scrolling - in fact, trouble is that I cannot find a way to change it.

When I go to "System Preferences" - "Mouse" .. there's nothing. When I go to "System Preferences" - "Microsoft Mouse"; guess what? NOT A FUCKING THING.

So gents and ladys, how do I get rid of this piece of shit so I can fucking scroll as I've been doing for the last two decades?

Jesus-fucking-Christ, fuck you, Steve!

Oh, and to you out there, who answers this question: THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR KINDNESS!
How can I remove inverted scrolling in OSX Lion with a normal (NO MAGIC MOUSE) mouse? Apple inverted / natural scrolling - I want it to GO AWAY

Apples to Apples

A card game originally made for small children where one matches nouns to a given adjective that somewhere along the line, as most things, got turned into a drinking game.
Person 1: Okay so for "Useless" I got Helen Keller, Anne Frank and Lima Beans. This is going to be the hardest Apples to Apples round yet.
Person 2: No way. It was harder when for delicious I had to pick between Megan Fox and Sandwiches.

Surf Dracula Syndrome

A phenomenon in film/television series, most notably streaming series, where the main premise is drawn out to such a point that it takes an entire season or more to get the parts of the series the audience is actually interested in seeing.

For example, if a series is titled "Surf Dracula," a majority of viewers would tune in expecting to see Dracula surfing by the first or second episode. However, the entire first season would instead be tedious padding and backstory before finally ending with Dracula surfing in the last five minutes of the season finale.
I watched "Smallville" on Netflix the other day. Dude, it was ten seasons of filler before he finally flew! Major Surf Dracula Syndrome!
