In this case, because of the website: www.evanwashere.com/stolensidekick. This chronicles a man's struggle with ghetto people who stole his friend's cellular phone out of the back of a Taxi. Because of the events, and the backing from people all over the world via the Internet, multiple servers for forums and blogs were brought to their knees.

Dude, don't host on that server or it will experience the sidekick effect.

When two tight friends (sidekicks) drift apart because one of the pair gets in a serious relationship with a member of the opposite sex. The abandoned friend will always harbor some degree of resentment towards the interloper for ruining the friendship.

The Oden's Hanging Sidekick
