One of the playable races in the MMORPG World of Warcraft that originated in the earlier Warcraft games. A Tauren is a big bovine-like creature who has strong ties with nature. Taurens are part of the Horde faction and can play the following classes: Warrior, Shaman, Druid, Hunter.

Taurens and Night Elves are currently the only races that can play as druids.

Also the race with coolest dance ever! At least the male version anyway...
Alliance Player #1: Man, I just got pwned by a Tauren Shaman. >_<
Alliance Player #2: Moooo!
Alliance Player #1: Yah. ;_;

Quite possibly the coolest race ever conceived in the history of fantasy PC games. The Tauren is a minotaur-like creature that looks half man, half bull. They carry around very large trees and smash people and other various objects with them.

One of the five Horde races in World of Warcraft. Resemble the classic Greek minotaur, only with hooves for feet and three-fingered hands. They have a culture that appears to be based off of several Native American tribes, are the only Horde race that can be druids, and are a blatant rebuke to anyone who misjudges the Horde as the "bad guys."
"You've got Hordies on Tanaris? Cool, I have a tauren druid there!"

TaurenTotem

This was the name of a site started by a person with the username of StevenFett. It was an updated version of the Tree of Life site, where Steve posted his battle reports from the Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos Beta. The site stayed on for a awhile, about 2 years, and is apparently being revamped for World of Warcaft, but won't be keeping it's former name.

After the site was taken down recently, a Walt Whitman poem is being displayed there strangly, most of its forum members went to an associated site, druidofthechicken. Or are waiting for Steve, who is supposed to be somewhere on the b.net forums currently, to post the new site.
The actual name Taurentotem is from a troop building in Warcraft 3.
