Much like their PETA and ASPCA counterparts they make a great spectacle of saving abused and endangered animals. However, they only recently gained international notoriety with a Belgian ad that featured a scruffy bearded man hop out of a van, run past a homeless man asking for donations with a sign reading, “I am an animal too”, jump kicking the man in the head to get to a staving puppy. When the ad aired in the U.S. it was quickly pulled because it was considered too controversial.

Similar to their counterparts PETA and ASPCA, A.S.S.H.A.T. is involved with protecting abused and endangered animals. They first gained notoriety when they aired a broadcast, commercial spot depicting a scruffy, young man jumping from a van, jump kicking a homeless man holding a 'I am an animal too' sign and rushing to the rescue of a mangy puppy. The commercial was considered too controversial for U.S. television and banned.
