Synosis

A state of near-total uniformity within a group of ideas, opinions, people, or systems, characterised by minimal internal variation and strong convergence. Often used critically to describe intellectual, cultural, or ideological homogeneity.
The department suffered from synosis, discouraging dissent and original thought.
