Referring to the first, yes it is derived from STFU which means "shut the fuck up" Stuff you is a tamer version more widely accepted, yet still holds the same message of shutting up.

Stuff You Should Know is a podcast that is on iTunes, presented by HowStuffWorks.com.

Howstuffworks.com is a journalism website on which there is an article on many a thing.

SYSK, as it is known, is hosted by Chuck "Chuckers" Bryant, and Josh Clark.

Stuff You Should Know is, in my opinion, good. Although this, many people accuse it of being poorly researched and just plain wrong. So be it, it's your right to dislike it.

So, I suppose if you're interested, take a look.
