Squiddles
Squiddles was a popular television show for kids and was aired in the 1990's. Except for the fact that it was popular with the small children it was soon canceled. It is rare to find merchandise or games from the show, but some fans still have the toys from when they were children.

a relationship involving two or more persons who, whether they wish to or not, cannot engage in an actual loving relationship. However, at the same time, they "hook up." They are not "friends with benefits", because there is a real emotional connection (example: love). For various reasons, however, they cannot be in a relationship at the current time.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
