A knitter addicted to the act of making socks, often to the point where it interferes in his/her social life, and drains financial resources which ultimately get diverted toward yarn acquisition.
Mary, a consumate Sock-aholic, was too busy knitting her latest pair to realize that she was being eyed by the handsome man on the other side of the public library study table.
