Used in online video games such as League of Legends to describe when one player intimidates another player by virtue of having a special skin (costume) for his character. Although skins are usually cosmetic in nature and do not bestow a player with any special powers or extra abilities, a skin may indicate that a player has a high skill level because he has invested a significant amount of time, energy, and money into a particular game.
