Words you can keep

Dessert shame

Ordering dessert at a restaurant with a group of friends/co-workers, only to recoil in horror as the others all politely decline. The shame reaches new heights once your order arrives and you have to eat it amongst the hawk-like gaze of everyone else at your table.
The dessert shame really kicked in as the rest of the office sat down to watch my brownie- eating performance.

Shame-splaining

Shaming or otherwise guilting another party for not sharing the same belief or value system as yourself in an attempt to alter their opinion. This can involve haphazard labeling, or insults of the cursory nature.
James engaged in shame-splaining by calling Pete narrow-minded for his beliefs on gun control, before expressing how gun control should work and how wrong Pete was.

Name Shame

To use someone's birth name as a pejorative term. The main example of this is the common birth name Karen which is now used as a synonym for racist/bitch. Since 2020, use of the name Karen has expanded and is now commonly used to insult any woman with whom one disagrees. Women and girls who are actually named Karen have been subject to verbal and physical harassment due to the trend of name shaming.
Here is an example of name shame using the name Karen: "I told that Karen to shut up or I'd hit her in the face again."

shameful display

*bow ashigaru fighting warrior monks*

ashigaru: owp, we're fucked, time to leg it

general's assistant: our men are running from the battlefield! SHAMEFUL DISPLAY!

Shower of Shame

The shower one must take after a horrific experience.
Examples:

Failed, yet valiant, attempt at trying to make it home before shitting yourself; Horrible break-up; Rick-Rolled; Watching 2Girls1Cup; Etcetera, etcetera

Usage:

John: " I didn't make it home last night...it was horrible man, I had shit everywhere."

Steve: "Looks like someone had to take the Shower of Shame!"

cone of shame

The plastic cone-shaped protective collar that a veterinarian puts on a dog or cat to prevent them from licking or pawing at an area of their body while it's healing from an injury or surgery. Also referred to as an Elizabethan collar (or e-collar), because of its similarity to the collars worn in Elizabethan dress.
Sherpa isn't enjoying being with the other dogs at the dog park today. You can tell he's embarrassed wearing the cone of shame that the vet put on him after his injury.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
