Self-cancel culture

Self-cancel culture refers to the act of proactively removing or concealing one's own online content to preemptively avoid potential criticism or backlash.
Ever since her controversial post went viral, Jenna has been practicing self-cancel culture by removing some of her older posts to avoid further backlash

Selfcancel

This is the term for any person on social media who has contributed to cancel culture that now has to cancel themselves.

This is due to their own historical social media activity now becoming outdated, hateful, bigoted and unforgivable.

By 2026 everyone will be cancelled.

Understand they will not want to do this, but AI software will have dredged through all of Twitter accounts and threaten to cancel them if they don’t act first.
Tommy made a benign comment about the weather a few years ago on Twitter.

Shame he has had to selfcancel, quit his job, move out his house and live purely off his sense of entitlement.
