When a religious individual cherry-picks meaningless verses and lives by them, whilst disregarding the other ones of equal value for the sole purpose of pettiness and/or hate.

A man claims he is a true christian since he quotes one verse often, but he is not because refuses to acknowledge the very foundations of christianity since they don’t affect or benefit him. This is selective devotion because he is only sincere to one verse, when there is a whole strew of other, more valuable verses.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.

Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
