Tonsil quidditch

A synonym for "tonsil hockey" or "making out," but for nerds (used proudly by Harry Potter fans especially).
Guy 1: Dude, did you hook up with that girl last night?

Guy 2 (with scar on his forehead): Yea man, we played tonsil quidditch all night!

strip quidditch

Where a team of wizards play a team of witchs at quidditch (standard rules apply). For each point lost, a member of the team has to remove a item of clothing. Due to large amounts of padding being worn by by both teams games are often lengthy and unexciting for the majority of the game. The clothes removed by the players often fall into the spectators, collected by a fan and never seen again. Due to the nature of broomsticks, both teams are permitted to keep their underwear from the waist down (excluding socks) on.

It is often played in college settings or where young wizards and witchs congregate. Strip quidditch often leads to more raunchy magical activities. Due to a court ruling in 1907, playing of strip quidditch by those over 45 is ilegal. Anyone caught playing is fined and stripped of magical powers.
Harry: Corr Ron did you see Hermipne?
Ron: No, why?
Harry: We were playing strip quidditch!
Ron: You lucky sod!

---
Harry: I've been scarred for life!
Hermione: Why, Harry?
Harry: I've just seen Professor McGonagall playing strip quidditch with Hagrid!
Hermione: *shiver*

Muggle Quidditch

The most awesome sport you will ever play. It's similar to the version of Quidditch played in the Harry Potter books and movies, but made to be played in real life. It's played mostly by people who played actual sports in high school, but decide to be more nerdy in college.

Basically, the rules are the same as the version in the books. There are two teams of seven players. Three are Chasers, whose job it is to take the Quaffle up the field and score through the hoops. Two are Beaters, who take the Bludgers and beat people on the other team. Then there is the Keeper, who guards the hoops and starts the play. Lastly, there is the Seeker, whose job it is to catch the Snitch and end the game.

The differences are that players don't actually fly, but run around with brooms in between their legs. The Quaffle is a volleyball, the Bludgers are dodge balls that are thrown by the Beaters, the hoops are made out of PBC pipes and hoola-hoops, and the Snitch is a person. When you are hit with a Bludger, you are "beat" and have to run back to your hoops before continuing to play. To catch the Snitch, the Seeker has to pull a tennis ball stuffed in a sock stuck in the back of the Snitch's pants. And instead of earning 150 points for catching the Snitch, the team only gets 30.

It's a full contact sport, with a lot of tackling and no protective padding. It's also replacing ultimate frisbee at most colleges.
John: Hey, I go to a communications college and am a big fan of Harry Potter! I want to meet people and stay active, and it would be awesome to do at the same time.

Dan: Dude, you should play Muggle Quidditch!

--------------------------------

Jared: Aw, man, that game was rough! I got beat five times in a row, and got tackled by the Keeper before I could score! Then, the other team's Seeker got the Snitch before we could get 30 points up.

Fred: Wait, do you play Muggle Quidditch?

Jared: Yay! It's like the cooler version of rugby!

Quidditch Offseason

The period of time from the end of one quidditch season to the start of the next one. As its the only sport in harry potter, sports fans at hogwarts are left with nothing to watch during these six or so months.

similar to the few months after the nfl season ends until the mlb season starts.
Ron: turn off espn. all they're showing is highlights from last month's quidditch championship

harry: maybe if JK Rowling had invented more than one sport we wouldn't be stuck in quidditch offseason.

Quidditch

Kwiid-itch, n.

1. Fictional Sport in the 'Harry Potter' novels involving bats, balls, brooms and C.G.I. effects - no doubt to be frowned upon when some daft bugger emulates it and falls to his/her doom on discovering they can't really fly.

2. The type of sneeze that starts in the nostrils, causing one to clamp one's teeth and close the mouth, resulting in sneezing a large clod of snot into one's hand that's in such a vast amount that it can't be wiped onto one's clothing discreetly.
"Quidditch" Ron exclaimed.
"Yeah," said Harry, closing his potions book. "I'm tired of studying... let's go and have some practice before Saturday's match".
Ron looked sheepish and attempted a grin. "Sorry mate" he said red-faced, "I just sneezed... you ain't got a tissue have you?"

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.
