Quid Pro No

A deceptive workplace maneuver in which an employee is offered a favor or opportunity (typically a job or promotion) by their boss under an implied quid pro quo—but instead of reciprocating the “quid” directly, the employee skips the middleman and delivers the “quo” to the boss’s boss.
When Dave hinted that Rachel could get the senior manager role if she helped him “off the record,” she pulled a classic Quid Pro No—she took the quo straight to the VP and walked out with the promotion and left Dave with blue balls and self doubt.

quid pro no-no

What folks are saying about Clarence and Ginni Thomas’ shamelessly profiteering Supreme Court decision-for-sale antics.
Oh Clarence, how can the public even think for a minute that we are taking bribes for access, that what we’ve done is a quid pro no-no?

Quid Pro, No Quo

Quid pro quo" is derived from Latin meaning "This for that." Quid pro NO quo is when you didn't get "that" in exchange for "this.
"Dude, I agreed to go out with your ugly cousin in exchange for your hot neighbor's phone number and now you're holding out on me.

I call Quid Pro, No Quo!!! You owe me my quo dude!
