"Quantizement" (or quantisement with UK spelling) is the process which happens when one person's (or entity) thoughts are immediately known to another person (or entity), but without any form of written, verbal or other means of physical communication being used. The process is so rapid, happening with a zeptosecond (which is one trillionth of a billionth of a second), that it seems as if the generation and receiving of the thoughts between the two separate consiousnesses are simultaneous.
This girl, standing in front of him, here on the terrace, hadn’t spoken. Yet, he knew exactly what she was thinking. Her thoughts were flickering in his consciousness exactly as they were forming in her brain. And that kind of temporal connection and quantizement shouldn’t be possible, unless it was happening in close to Planck time, or at least in zeptoseconds.
Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. PenguinBooks,1992. p. 38)
