President Nixon is most remembered for the Watergate scandal which caused him to resign in disgrace, however Nixon had many other notable accomplishments. Nixon was the first U.S. president to officially recognize China's communist government. The Nixon administration created OSHA and the EPA. Nixon supported organized labor and affirmative action.

Richard M. Nixon (1913-1994).

The 37th president of the United States from 1969-1974. Most people remember Nixon for the Watergate scandal and the Viet Nam War, however many good things happened during that time too.

During this time, Republicans still cared about the environment, still cared about the working class and were still pro-family. for example, the Nixon Administration created the EPA and OSHA.

President Nixon was the last Progressive Republican.

Toe Rag

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
