A person who enjoys and seeks out fresh, untracked snow for skiing or snowboarding. This person would usually live close to a ski area that receives a large amounts of snowfall.

Many hardcore powderheads live at places like Alta, Snowbird, Jackson Hole, Whitewater, Mt Baker.
