Artist Bio
Post Adolescence was formed in‭ ‬2006‭ ‬by lead-singer/guitarist Johnny Straube,‭ ‬bassist Gar Hooker,‭ ‬and drummer Brian McCrossen.‭ ‬Drawing‭ ‬mainly on British influences,‭ ‬Post Adolescence‭ ‬integrates the‭ ‬the crunch of‭ ‬Manic Street Preachers and Placebo,‭ the glamour of ‬T.‭ ‬Rex and David Bowie,‭ ‬and the raw sound‭ ‬of‭ ‬The Clash and Buzzcocks.

The band‭ ‬has just released their debut album‭ "‬My Nothing,‭" ‬and have played shows at both of Seattle‭’‬s‭ ‬Showbox stages to help promote it.‭ ‬Recorded at Seattle‭’‬s London Bridge Studios and mastered by Barry Corliss of Master Works,‭ "‬My Nothing‭" ‬features introspective lyrics of heartbreak and loss,‭ ‬balanced with up-beat pop anthems.

Recently added to the line-up are Mark Clem and Adrian Garver,‭ ‬who trade off on guitars and keyboards.‭ ‬They have provided a springboard for the band to bring a fresh but familiar sound to new songs in the works.

post-adolescence

the time in life when you awake from adolescence. usualy about the age of 19 to 25. you may still have a headache from your teenage kicks of the past, but in whole you are pretty lucky to become a real man or woman. its maybe the coolest time because you realize that you now are a twenty-something (a sexmachine in a cool outfit) and the opposite of a teenager (a whimpy wannabe).
common changes: better taste in music, better clothes, better sex, going to college or earn own money, less acne, less teenage angst and coming to the conclusion that those realy popular kids who bullied around in highschool are going to be the ones with the most boring/fucked up life.
as long as you are in highschool you can't see that there is a life after this twilight zone... but hell yeah there is! wait until your post-adolescence

Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase

A person who just graduated high school/college student who tries to act like an adult, but still behaves like a high-schooler. They usually tend to use large words, pretending to have a large vocabulary because they think that it makes them look smart and impressive. Tend to think they know everything. (hint-the whole cast of "Real World")
"What, is Josh still trippin because he is in his Post-Adolescent-Idealistic Phase?"
-Clueless

Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase

The time after the pointless teen years in which a young person develops what are called "standards" and "morals." It is a time in which eyes are opened and "The Truth" suddenly becomes clear.

Usually beginning when one enters college, said young person reads deep literature, searches for the meaning of life, and listens to college radio, all the while secretly becoming even more confused than when he/she was an lame 16 year old.

The Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase usually entails naive 18-20something year olds upholding hopeful, yet unrealistic morals. Often, utopian dreams can be confused for "The Truth."

After the phase has ended, the young person must beware becoming highly hypocritical and/or jaded once life has slapped them around a bit.
"Is Josh giving you shit because he going through his post-adolescent idealistic phase?"

Stealthie

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.

This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"

FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
