Phombie: (phone zombie) a person who is staring at their mobile device or phone in an emotionless daze. Often so fixated on their display screen, in a zombie like state, that they are completely oblivious of other people and their surroundings. A phone zombie. Someone so addicted to their smartphone that they've become the walking dead - hunched over, dead-eyed, scrolling through life without seeing it. Missing their kid's soccer game because they're checking Instagram. Walking into traffic while texting. Physically present but mentally gone.
