One of many pirate-version emoticons whose two eyed equivalent is :), therefore representing a happy pirate.

The traditional semi-colon ";" an colon ":" are replaced with the capital letter 'P' to represent an eye patch. Many of the normal emoticons can be transformed into pirate emoticons as illustrated below, and can become quite elaborate.

:P is quite possibly one of the most clean and innocent emoticons to ever exist. You ideally would add this towards the end of your sentence to convey a sense of playfulness and lightheartedness, especially when the things you've said can come off as a bit inappropriate/insensitive if interpreted the wrong way.

NOTE: this text-based emoticon CANNOT be substituted for the emoji equivalent of a tongue sticking out (especially not the standalone tongue, dear god no).

Started by rapper Gunna and his Shady Baby friends, Gunna refers to any human to come across his presence as "P".
Going further to the use of P, 'Playas Only' was a small movement inspired by the Playboy magazine portraying Gunna as Hugh Heffner with his "Wunna Bunnies" recording the music video for his possible new track "Playas Only", and the main theme for his "Playas Room" birthday party full of high class guests and family.
