The mindset of a game developer who thinks that his/her game can deliver 'everything (the audience) has ever hoped for' in a game of that genre.
This mindset is named for the developer of Fable, Peter Molyneux. Though a solid game, Fable did not hold up to the revolutionary and dynamic RPG it was set up to be.
He makes sky-high promises and claims he can make a game pretty much by himself and in Flash; this guy has Molyneux Syndrome written ALL over him.
To over-hype something to the point of building expectations that the final product will never be able to fufill. The word comes from Peter Molyneux who is known to speak candidly about games he is working on, in all cases never truly able to deliver on his word.
After reading all those reviews of this movie, I feel totally molyneux'd after actuallyseeing it.
b) The act of product overselling with false claims.
"yo man, i bought the game you told me to get and not a DAMN thing was true about what he does in it. Next time i catch you Molyneuxing I'm going to punch you in the eye!!!"
A washed up game developer who hasn't made a decent game in 10 years and is self-entitled to give shit to others' games for "not being decent".
He is the prime example of a fag.
Person 1;Did you hear that Peter Molyneux said GTA V's sales are disappointing?
