A word of unknown origin, presumably derived from the word elephant. It is a deeply embarrassing insult to recieve and is 'one up' on the phrase; "massive douche". The term is commonly used with regret as both party's acknowledge the severity of the insult, and the consequences that arise when it is used.
For instance,
(Pete is a douche => Pete is a massive douche)
=> Pete is a melephant
"That was a very melephanty thing to do"
(Pete is a douche => Pete is a massive douche)
=> Pete is a melephant
