Malingerer 

Someone who will do absolutely anything to get out of work. No shame is attached to any excuse, no matter how ridiculous.
Also known as 'Doing a Simon'!

"I won't be in today, after banging my arm on a door at work yesterday. The doctor said it's not broken, but the pain feels like my elbows been shattered. It's even worse than last year, when the elephant broke loose from the circus and attacked me with his trunk.

Malingering 

Malingering is intentional deceptive behavior, not a medical or psychiatric disorder. The diagnosis of malingering rests upon the identification of an external or "secondary" gain being present as the main motivation for the behavior. In other words, what does the person hope to gain?

Nurse is malingering out of work, now his teammates have to pick up his slack.

Palingerer 

One who feigns or exaggerates symptoms of victimization for personal gain or to advance a crazy right wing agenda.

He will remain relevant as long as he keeps running to the court of public opinion to claim that he's treated unfairly, that it's the "man" always keeping him down, not his lack of skills. What a Palingerer.

She doesn't need to know anything vital, so long as she can keep people's pity focused on her delusional claim that she would have attained all of her goals if it weren't for everyone else tripping her up along the way--what a Palingerer.

A person who fakes an illness or injury to get out of work. Who is commonly know for screwing over his or her brothers so they have to work more overtime.

Member of the fire department who is malingering is also a load. I have to wax my car but to hell with riding a fire truck.
