Jah Kooly gets the name from 2 sources Jamaica dancehall artist Tippa Lee who created the meaning k.o.o.l.y and said also because Jah Kooly is a good listener he can carry other peoples heavy loads like a coolie worker, and Jah Kooly relates the K in Kool to other Hip Hop pioneers like Kool Herc, Kool Moe Dee, etc.
