1. A new plant growing from an outshoot stem. Plural: Keikis.
Origin: Hawaiin word for baby, child, boy, little kid or nephew.

A keiki is a small plant which grows from one of the nodes along the stem instead of a branch. Spider plant and strawberry plant propogate via keikis.
