A system in which being an idiot is rewarded. Rewards can be anything with social and financial rewards being the most common. The opposite of meritocracy.

In an idiotocracy, the stupid get promoted to be supervisors.

Dilbert's boss is an example of an idiotocracy.

Idiocracy 

A society that values and rewards people based solely on a lack of intelligence. Societies that reward the resulting behaviors become dysfunctional, violent, and the rule of law becomes even more arbitrary.

To be quite frank, the United States is a prime example of idiocracy in action.

It is when a idiot spreads his/her stupidity. Take a Karen for example they usually spread via social media,conversation,etc. There are types of people who are more prone to this such as uneducated children, and boomers.
