Politically motiviated hacking. Some examples include denial of service attacks against conservative groups, defacement of political websites, malicious software development, and website parodies. Tends to be leftist and has close ties with anarchy.
When the media is taken over by conservative propaganda, citizens can engage in underground hacktivism to fight back.

Hagtivism 

A conjunction of "hashtag activism"; a useless, noxious form of "activism" that takes place in 144 angry, hateful characters or less. This is usually a response to taking offense to something, but ironically is often more offensive than what it is responding to.
If your tweets are angry ramblings about what you find offensive and inappropriate followed by numerous hashtags meant to blame and demean your subject, you are guilty of hagtivism.
