This small town has more drama than every show on MTV combined.
Grand Ledge is separated between cop lovers and haters. A mouthy kid was shot and killed by a cop back in February, and people are still crazy about it. The story has appeared on CNN multiple times. There are signs around town saying "Justice for Deven." The most common form of "support" by these individuals include trolling police department Facebook pages.
Oh yeah, Facebook. The infamous Grand Ledge Community Page is the root of many problems. People constantly complain about snowplows, elections, leaf pick up, cops, sunshine, oxygen, etc.
The Grand Ledge High School football team actually had a good year. They made it to semifinals. Maybe they could have a chance if the 1st string varsity team didn't only consist of coaches' kids.
So there it is, Grand Ledge is falling apart quicker than the actual ledges this town was named after.

Grand Ledge High School is basicly a shit show, teachers are constantly preaching to the kids about their bonds to tax the community so they can revert all of the changes they made back in 2009. Also, the school wants to build a new swimming pool and fill their current one in with concrete so it can be a "community walking track" even though they have 2 already.
The students are constantly vaping in the bathroom, classrooms, halls that dont have cameras, or in the parking lot. All the girls carry around pepper spray so they can "defend themselves", but they mostly threaten boys with it when they piss them off. The teachers dont give a fuck if your passing or failing, as long as you are quite and on your phone your fine. If there is ever a sub the students take it as a personal challenge to get sent to the office, argue about their phones, or blow vapor into the middle of the class so the substitute has to tell "who did that"

Grand Ledge High School
High school in the Lansing suburb of Grand Ledge. Tons of black people, but they're never actually in a class. They just roam the halls.
The other definition is wrong. The school is not "pimping". It sucks. The principals suck, the teachers suck, and the food sucks. The only things that don't suck are the new additions to the school, and they even managed to fuck those up with the wrong color scheme.
In a certain hallway of the school is a place called Little Africa, where all the black people hang. Unless it's last hour, it's almost certain that at least one black person will be standing in the corner.
The varsity football team is very good. Marching band is top in the state and one of the top in the country. Junior varsity teams suck, and anyone on those are full of themselves.
Hicks park in the far parking lot called the "truck lot", and honk when the marching band is practicing in the rear parking lot. Regularly burn tires/be stupid/get visited by the school's rent-a-cop.
There are many hipsters and scene girls. If you tell one off, she will claim you are jealous of her/want her/want to be her regardless of your gender and/or sexual preference, like all scene girls do.
Overall the school sucks except for, well, the band and the football team.
