Get the exen mug.noun. Someone who has previously worked as a bike messenger but is no longer earning a living from it.
A portmanteau of the prefix "ex-" and "messenger", an exenger may or may not wear the clothing or equipment associated with bicycle couriers.
Typically, an exenger will have the skills and experience to distinguish themselves from a fakenger or a posenger. This is sometimes not immediately apparent, especially if the cyclist is a Fixie La Douche style of exenger.
