Based on the TV animated series Digimon, where the main characters' pets, knowed as Digimons, evolves into a differents forms.

This is different than a Digidestened from Digimon Seasons 1 and 2.
2. (Seasons 1 and 2 Only) - Any person that saw a Digimon.
Currently, there have been six sets of Digidestened.

Used just like "identity" is used, but in congruence with and reference to the digital.
While a mere screen name or avatar may change from website to website, one's digidentity generally remains the same.
