Depeche Mode are an electronic music band formed in 1980, in Basildon, Essex, England. The group's original line-up was Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980–81). Vince Clarke left the band after the release of their 1981 debut album, and was replaced by Alan Wilder (lead keyboards) who was a band member from 1982 to 1995. Following Wilder's departure, Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have continued as a trio.

Depeche Mode are one of the longest-lived, most successful and influential bands to have emerged from the New Romantic and New Wave era.

L.D.M. (Low Data Mode)

When someone’s brain is so slow or dumb that it reaches a pause moment. When following direction or asked to do something or even understanding a joke. The brain shuts down and goes into low data mode unable to process the situation. This person usually has a paused confused dumb stare or the mouth has dropped or they just say OK just to agree. They never figure out how to accomplish a situation or get the joke.

E.g. 1. That poor valley girl brain went into L.D.M. (low data mode). She looked confused and pause for a few seconds said OK and walked away. Realizing her friends are making fun of her. She came back a few minutes later and said that’s fucked up that wasn’t funny.

E.g. 2. When the hot teacher came in the room all the boys went into L.D.M. (low data mode). They were so confused they started saying here, here, here as if it was attendance roll call.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.

Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
