Cuddle hug 

A long hug between two close friends that's not as intimate as regular cuddling. Adding hug to cuddle makes it less intimate because you're specifying what you're doing.

A person who loves to cuddle, usually completely platonic.

Jamie is a total cuddlebug, but she never goes farther than that.

cuddlebug 

A small, furry, living mammal which one can cuddle with. Most often exemplified by either A) a sweet and gentle young kitten curled up on a human's chest or lap, or B) a cute little kitten resting in a "loaf of bread" position.

I'm in bed cuddling with my cuddlebug.

A full body entwined cuddle that goes on for an extended time period while doing some other activity such as watching TV.

A cuddlebuggy situation would involve watching tv with your child while holding them close.
