Chatfished

To go on a date (especially one arranged online) and realize that the person’s wit, emotional depth, or conversational flair was entirely generated by ChatGPT or another AI — not their real personality.
Unlike being catfished, which is about misleading appearance, being chatfished is about the dialogue and persona being AI-generated.

“He seemed so insightful and poetically funny over text… in person, he was totally bland. I got chatfished.”
“I thought I was dating an empath—ended up being a chatfishing victim.”
