A record is referred to as a brick, as opposed to gold or platinum, due to lack of sales. In deer hunting, the act of driving deer towards the brink of a cliff. In the stone age, hunters would drive the deer towards a cliff and collect the carcase at the bottom. In modern times, deer hunters can sometimes use spoonerism to turn 'beer drinking' into 'deer brinking'.
