Babel effect

In reference to the tower of babel.

That one word, one phrase, one recipe, etc., That is one idea is seen by a many people (dozens, hundreds, thousands, millions, etc), interpreted, researched, thought upon, and yet each person has an entirely different interpretation or concept from the original. Yet can be traced back to the original scource somehow.
Cooking is a good example of the Babel effect. 20 cooks are taught the same exact recipe, yet youll find them each putting a unique spin on the process, flavor, or nutritional value of it
