Ass thunder is when you bearly make it to the bathroom, to take a #2. So the lightning is the seat hitting the toilet bowl, the thunder is you releasing your guts.

I had to sprint to the bathroom, the person next to me probably experienced the worst ass-thunder, they have have ever come across.
