Ashwak is a derivative of the word Ashwaq which is an Arabic word that means "longing." It is pronounced "Ah-sh-walk" or "Uh-sh-walk," depending on the person and their ability to pronounce it. Ashwaq, and in turn Ashwak, may mean longing, but Ashwaks are known to come off as cold to people.
