Armance (aka Amy) is probably the best person you’ll ever meet! If you’re a girl, you’ll wish she was you best friend. She is sociable and outgoing and fun and just an overall good person. She cares about deep talk just as much as she likes goofy jokes. She’ll always be there for you - so hang on tight! If you’re a guy on the other hand, you’ll probably fall for her instantly. Armance
Armance is the best person you will ever meet, she is a loner and probably won't talk to you at first but once you get to know her you will see she is truly amazing. She is hilarious, insanely beautiful, smart, and fricking talented. She is not always kind because somedays she just feels like shit, but if you love her you should ignore that and she will be grateful for it and know that you're a real friend. If you're a guy then ask her out, she would make the best girlfriend: cute, funny, not too dumb or immature but just enough, and won't be too corny or expect anything cliche. She also loves How I Met Your mother (go watch it).
Basically, if you know an Armance you better hold on to her, and if you don't then you should find one as soon as you can because she is just pure awesome.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
