Get the approach mug.Approach anxiety (AA) is a term used to describe a man who feels highly nervous, awkward and distressed during (or even before) the act of approaching and getting to know women he has never met before. While the anxiety often derives from a greater social phobia, approach anxiety itself derives specifically from man's belief that he is very likely to be rejected by the woman of his desire in unplesant and harsh ways.
In most cases, a man who tries to overcome this particular anxiety may experience symptoms such as rapid heart rate, clammy hands and excessive body sweating, thought paralysis (i.e 'going blank' or 'freezing up'), rapid speach, uncharacteristic stuttering, unintentional fidgeting and many other forms of physical or mental reactions to high stress.

Get the Approach anxiety mug.A term used in the seduction community. Approach invitation is best defined as a sign that a woman is interested in a man, and she wants him to approach her. Approach invitations come in many ways. They include prolonged eye contact, being unnecessary close to the man in particular, unnecessary hair touching/tossing, loud talking/laughing when near. In other words, the woman is trying to get his attention in a subtle, or not so subtle way. Approach invitations don't last forever though, the woman might get frustrated when her invitation is ignored after a short amount of time, and she will give up. The man needs to recognize these signs and approach her fast.
"James, stop standing against the bar like a police officer! Can't you see that HB over there that keeps glancing over to you and tossing her hair like crazy. She's giving you a massive approach invitation. Go talk to her and make her happy while you still can, you blind idiot."

Get the approach of death mug.Yeah yeah I totally get that man. You got the 2 types right? Michael Malice was talking about this, right? Where you got the 2 types of people, right? Like, the first guy looks at what's around him and deduces conclusions. Like ME! And the other guy has a worldview in his head and he tries to make reality comport with that worldview.... Like the guy who's trying to use Nikki Haley to pass his anti-online anonymity legislation. Or the conservatives trying to legislate and boycott the gays away. What is the name of that guy.... Oh wait! It's Dr. Jordan! He's the one doing that! He tried to frame it as though it's the communists doing the thing be HE'S the one trying to force reality to comport with his vision.

Get the Approach to Knowledge mug.Being a backronym of AADC (the title of an Indonesian movie), "approach-avoidance defensive conflict" refers to the psychological struggle where a single goal has both positive and negative aspects, causing a person to be both drawn to and repelled by it. This internal tension leads to stress and indecision as the individual weighs the pros and cons, and the conflict often results in periods of back-and-forth thinking. Examples include wanting a promotion but dreading the longer hours, or wanting a vacation but being discouraged by the high cost.
She faced an approach-avoidance defensive conflict when she considered accepting the job offer; the salary was great, but the thought of a longer commute made her hesitate.
