Sometimes this is false as with Samsung phones which have better UI and more customization options for a cheaper price. The myth that androids have bad cameras stems from the fact that android system UI is easier to make so the crappy no name phone brands use it and have bad cameras. so this is a false myth.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
