Allman Brothers

The REAL greatest southern rock band of all time. The Allman Brothers were a blues-rock band from Macon, Georgia. There were actually only two real "Allman brothers" in the band, Duane (the 2nd greatest guitarist of all time, according to Rolling Stone), and Gregg, who played organ. The other members were lead guitarist Dickey Betts, bassist Berry Oakley, and drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe Johanson. Sadly, Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1971, and Berry Oakley met the same fate just a year later. The remaining members stumbled along until the early '80s, when they dissolved due to infighting and drug abuse. They reunited with several new members in 1989, and continue to tour. In 2000, Dickey Betts was fired because of his alcoholism, and the band has continued without him.
Seriously, Lynyrd Skynyrd is great, but they are far from the greatest southern rock band of all time. The Allman Brothers invented the genre, and they're still the best.

allman brothers

The Allman Brothers are a liquid poetry, thrums of the guitar strumming over you. Your own personal connection to the mystic, yours for this night only. Running down your arms and legs, licks a delicious delight. You are caught up in the drive of the guitars, those phantasmic twin guitars, but then you notice the bass. Actually, you don't hear it unless you really listen, actually it's the bass that pulls the song along. Keeping time and sending us the sweetest of vibrations. Did I say keyboards? Gregg's moody touches on his keys punctuating, emphasizing. And JABUMA! Jabuma, Jabuma! Sounds just like what it is, the percussion section, the freakin' percussion section. Can you deny it? Their drums, triple threat, pull you up in a wave and send you along the beat. Nothing better than a good drum solo. The Allmans? They are my heartbeat. I live for the first few notes of Jessica, knowing that I get to hear at least 15 minutes more of joy. The Allmans woke my soul. That's how I define them.
The Allman Brothers will be in ATLANTA soon!

Quinn Allman

The guitarist of The Used. Absolutely fxcking awesome. He is not only extremely talented (The Used's guitar tracks are pretty hard to play) but breathtakingly gorgeous. Also, in the album cover of In Love And Death he said, "... Joseph Smith the greatest fiction writer of the latterday next to Tolkien." That is a statement to respect.

The Allman Brothers Band

Great southern rock and blues band. Big hits included 'Ramblin' Man', 'Jessica', and 'Melissa'. Suffered a huge loss when slide guitar player Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1971.
Wow, have you heard the guitar work on 'Jessica'? The Allman Brothers Band kick ass, dude.

Quinn Allman

Quinn Allman is a founding member of rock bank The Used, in which he plays guitar and sings backup vocals. The band is based in Orem, Utah, USA, where he was born on January 18, 1982. He uses Schecter and Gibson guitars, though he confesses he's "not really a gear head." He cites Face to Face's album "Ignorance Is Bliss" as one of his biggest influence, on his life as well as his musical aspirations.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.

A slang term used to describe a bald person, typically someone who is completely bald or has a closely shaved head. The term is derived from the infamous, hairless kids’ cartoon character of the same name.
Example 1:
“Did you see that caillou over there? His head is reflecting the sun like a disco ball.”
Example 2:
“I think Dave is finally accepting his hair loss. He just went full caillou and shaved the whole thing off.”
