Head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 1963-1965, became the AFL Commissioner and later left to manage the Raiders. Has had numerous fueds in the courts with the NFL, also with several players and coaches most notably Marcus Allen & Mike Shanahan.

Built the winningest team in professional sports based on record for more than 3-decades and now has seen his Raiders become the losingest profootball team the last 5-years with a record of 17-53-0 including an NFL record 17 consecutive losses to division rivals in the AFC West. (October 21,2007)

A very emotional man with a vast vocabulary, loves his Oakland Raiders more than any person alive or who'll ever live. Has seen and been a part of it all in profootball, from the very lowest lows to the very highest highs.

Secretly has financially helped hundreds of former Raiders players,trainers,coaches and their families. Has never taken credit for that fact and probably will pass on without ever divulging that information.
