An acronym given to client ideas on using products from technology or software providers in peculiar or highly irregular ways. The acronym stands for "Are You F(bleep-ing) Insane?".

A leading manufacturer of rocket engines opened a support ticket with the open source community that uses refurbished vintage Atari game consoles to create hilariously underpowered computing grids. The community tagged the ticket as "AYFI" and went back to playing Pitfall.
