Šlape 

Also called 'slides'. Plastic footwear with one band over the foot. Usually worn during the summer or inside the house. Can be worn with or without socks. The etymology of the word stems from the balkans, maybe Croatia, but is also used in Slovenia and other balkan countries. They might be seen as a status symbol for some, depending on the brand and design, or just a convenient shoe for getting your mail or taking out the trash.

Look at those boys all wearing the same šlape in front of the Mcdonalds driveway.

Contrary to popular opinion just having one partner asleep is not enough to constitute "slape." The partner must actively be resisting in a dream in order for "slape" to occur.
