The border between the Piedmont region("Upstate") and the Atlantic Coastal Plain(the "Lowcountry") is called the Fall Line to mark the line where the upland rivers "fall" to the lower Atlantic Coastal Plain.

They also try to be edgy by having an inconsistent mood. One week they’ll be really happy and the other one they will make suicide jokes with the attempt of trying to get sympathy.
