When the excitement and/or advertising on something far exceded the actual feature functionality of the product or experience.

The movie Avatar disappointed me. The hype to bang on that film was terrible.

Hypecrisy

Consists of two words, Hyper and Hypocrisy. Hence meaning hyper hypocrisy, hypocrisy beyond measure or possible reference/comparison.

Did you hear Obama's speech? It had so much hypecrisy in it!!

1. A hypebeast is a person (usually a teenager) who buys shoes, jackets, jeans, hoodies, sweaters, sweatshirts etc. that they think are "cool", "hip" and trending for the sake of impressing others.

2. An organization/satanic cult (depending how you view it) that has been involved in numerous crimes such as murders, shootings, crimes against humanity, homicides, rapes, you name it.
