Initially thought to be a term one of the members of NKOTB used to taunt fans and drive them crazy with wonder. His twitters posted multiple tinks each time causing thousands of replies on guesses of what tink was.

He has finally given explanation!

TINK The imaginary sound Jordan Knight hears from his eyes when he wakes up. Much like a cartoon sound I imagine.

Finally we can sleep at night now that we have the answer hehe

Thinking-Cap

When your dumb ass is so dumb that you need to wear a helmet when doing normal activities such as riding the short bus or sleeping. Also, randomly dropping face first out of nowhere may be a side effect.

Dave's dumb ass fell straight out of his chair the other night and ate carpet, luckily he was wearing his thinking-cap.

Thinko is a computer science slang term for a mistake in the writing of a program that arises from the temporary disruption of the thought process, typically leading to a bug.

A typical example of a thinko would be the use of an idiom or syntax taken from a computer language other than the one currently being used, or perhaps the simple inversion of a boolean test that reverses the intended meaning.
