A scale factor is a number which scales, or multiplies, some quantity. In the equation y = Cx, C is the scale factor for x. C is also the coefficient of x, and may be called the constant of proportionality of y to x. For example, doubling distances corresponds to a scale factor of two for distance, while cutting a cake in half results in pieces with a scale factor of one half. The ratio of any two corresponding lengths in two similar geometric figures is also called a scale factor.

Love factor

The 2-4 point jump on the 1-10 attractiveness scale your partner gets when you've fallen for them. You know you're in love when all the sudden your partner has gone from a solid 7 to a 9.
Guy 1 : " Dude, I think I'm in love."

Balloon Factor

When a company expands quicker than the directors or shareholders can keep up with employees, eventually it explodes like a balloon.
Chris and Pete promised consumer's their investments would be delivered in a set time frame. When that failed, Chris and Pete promised new and better products which sucked further outside investors in. Eventually unable to deliver any products, the company folded....that is the "balloon factor"
